CARE Fertility works with our patients who need the option of an egg donor, egg sperm (or both) in order to achieve a pregnancy.
Egg donation is a process in which the eggs of usually a young, healthy woman (donor) are combined with sperm in the IVF laboratory via In vitro fertilization. The resulting embryos are transferred to the uterus of the recipient (intended parent). Thanks to egg donors, many women can overcome ovary function or egg production issues to experience the joy of pregnancy and childbirth.
Donor sperm is an option for couples in which the male partner suffers fromabsence of sperm, or low count or low motile sperm. Also for single women pursuing a pregnancy, or lesbian couples seeking to start a family.
