CARE Fertility is proud to be one of the few fertility clinics in the U.S. approved to offer this latest technology.
INVOcell was designed to offer you a different option and hope on your fertility journey. INVOcell is an intravaginal culture (IVC) system and consists of the INVOcell culture and retention devices. The first and only FDA-cleared option of its kind used in fertility treatment, INVOcell uses your body as an incubator for fertilization, making you an even greater part of the process.
A first-of-its-kind device used in fertility treatment, INVOCELL holds the eggs and sperm in your body for fertilization and incubation, allowing you to be more personally involved in the process.
The first thing your doctor will do is prescribe medication to help your body produce eggs. Your doctor will retrieve the eggs from your ovaries using a minimally invasive procedure during which you will be sedated. Then, your eggs will be placed with sperm. This is where the INVOCELL culture device comes in.
INVOCELL has two parts: the culture device and the retention device. The culture devide holds the eggs and sperm.
The retention device, with the culture device in it, is then placed in your vagina. During this time, you should avoid any strenuous physical activity or any other activity that could change the temperature of the vagina, such as taking a bath or using a sauna.
After this incubation period, your doctor will remove the device from your body and examine the quality and quantity of the embryos that have developed.
Then, your doctor will work with you to decide on the number of embryos to be transferred to your uterus. And the good news is, you can freeze any remaining embryos.
